I've just been watching the GP from Turkey.
I just can't believe how generous Mark and Sebastian have got. Giving away 43 points to poor, struggling Lewis and Jenson just like that!
Why can't other nations be as kind to our competitors in other competitions. Like Eurovision, for instance? (Please don't answer that one - I don't think I could bear to be reminded of just how bad our entry was in comparison to what was already a pretty lack-lustre bunch).
I'm off to pack some orders - it will at least remind me that some of you out there are really smart. Thanks for the orders guys (and girl).

- As I write this I'm sixty and three-quarters years old. I've been a designer in various disciplines: exhibition, shop interior, graphics and packaging. I also owned my own model shop for seventeen years, specialising in radio-control cars and planes, but covering a wide range from plastics to raw materials to top of the range control systems and the Japanese OS company's fabulous multi-cylinder model radial engines. My shop was an official service agency for Hornby/Scalextric, which has a significant bearing on what I'm doing now. More of that later. In 2005, the packaging/print-finishing company I worked for was starting to struggle and, as the highest paid employee, I accepted voluntary redundancy, which was still, sadly, insufficient to save the company. The ensuing year I broke from all previous experience, to manage a team of engineers installing an upgrade into all the bingo clubs which participate in the National Game (I'm now pretty good at looking at a postcode and having a good idea of where it fits on the UK map)! After that, I realised that what I really wanted to do was already a part of my history and the current phase of my life began (see blog).
